Walking Mummy with Arms Stretched Out

Coloring guide
This friendly little mummy marches straight ahead with both arms held out and hands open, like he's about to offer a spooky but kind hello. His wide, shiny eyes look out from the wrappings, and his big open smile even shows a tongue. Bandage strips circle his head, arms, body and legs, and loose cloth ends flutter from his head and waist. Both wrapped feet are caught mid-step, so the whole page feels bouncy. With no background, kids can put all their attention on the stripes. Soft cream and tan would look great, or alternate two bright colors for a candy-striped mummy. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- light cream
- leaf green
- pale green
- coral pink
- cherry red
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big bandage areas: color all the wraps on the head, body, arms, legs and hanging cloth strips light cream, leaving the eye whites white.
- 2Fill the face, cheeks, hands and the tips of both feet with leaf green, then add a pale green band across the forehead.
- 3Color the tongue coral pink and the top of the open mouth cherry red.
- 4Keep the eye whites and the background white so the bandages stand out.
- 5Optional: lightly add a few curved lines or shading along the edges of the wraps to make them look like they wrap around the body.
