Long Wavy Mane Unicorn Pony from Cutie Mark Crew (MLP)
Coloring guide
Standing upright with a smile aimed right at you, this big-eyed unicorn pony comes from the Cutie Mark Crew. Her long mane runs down the left side in smooth stripes and finishes in a large spiral curl near the bottom, while a smaller curl flips out on the right. She has sparkly eyes with lashes, a tiny nose, a pointed ear and a small swirled horn on her forehead. Thick outlines are easy to stay inside, and with no background a young child has lots of space to work. Switching between two or three colors on the mane stripes, such as lavender and pink, helps the swirls pop. Download the free PDF for classroom time or a rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by leaving the face, body, eye whites and eye shine spots white so they really pop.
- 2Color the mouth rose pink and the inner ear baby pink, then fill the horn with golden yellow.
- 3Fill the long mane with stripes: baby pink along the outer left edge, pale yellow next, then light blue, with lavender purple and periwinkle near the lower part.
- 4Color the curls at the bottom of the mane with pale yellow, lavender purple and periwinkle, following the swirl shapes.
- 5Color the hair on the right side with light blue, pale yellow and lavender purple, and use sky blue for the hair at the top back of the head and pale blue for the small lower-left hair near the neck.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading on the shadowed sides of the mane strands with a slightly darker shade of the same color for more depth.
