Freestyle Swimmer Between Lane Ropes, Sports Coloring Page
Coloring guide
Wearing a swim cap and round goggles, this grinning kid reaches one arm over the water in the middle of a stroke, like the pool is the best place on earth. Splashes fly up around the swimmer, with a few big droplets heading to the upper left and smaller sprays on the right. Wavy lines ripple across the water, and two lane ropes made of chunky floats run along the top and bottom of the page. The bent arm and open hand are easy to find, and the shapes are big enough for younger children. Use it for swim lessons, summer camp or a lazy afternoon at home. Orange or purple would make a fun swim cap, and you could alternate red and white or blue and yellow on the floats. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: fill the arm, face, ears, neck, shoulder and hand with peach, leaving the goggle eye whites clear.
- 2Color the swim cap in cobalt blue, then the goggle straps in sky blue.
- 3Fill the swimsuit strap and the part of the swimsuit under the water with bright red, and the open mouth with salmon pink.
- 4Color the lane floats alternating between bright red, tomato red and light gray, leaving the white floats white and the slate gray floats at the far right.
- 5Add the water splashes, droplets and the top-left lane end in aqua and light blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shade in the arm and cap with a slightly darker tone of the same color for depth.
