Smiling Dolphin Curving Through Bubbles in the Water

Smiling Dolphin Curving Through Bubbles in the Water coloring page

Coloring guide

A friendly dolphin arches its body in a big curve, with its head turned up and its long snout pointing to the right. It has a small round eye and a gentle smile line along its mouth. One tall dorsal fin sits on its back, and two flippers hang down near its chest, one in front of the other. The tail sweeps around at the bottom with two flukes, and a few short lines mark the fins for extra detail. Small bubbles of different sizes float around the dolphin on both sides. The large smooth body gives kids plenty of space to color, which makes it a good fit for crayons or markers. Try a blend of light blue and gray on the body, then use a darker shade on the fins and tail so the shapes stand out. You could also ask children to count the bubbles and color each one a different shade. This printable page works well for ocean units or quiet time.
