Smiling Fairy Holding a Jack-o'-Lantern Pumpkin

A fairy with short wavy hair, pointed ears, and big eyes with long lashes smiles at the viewer while holding up one finger on her left hand. In her other hand she balances a small carved pumpkin with a curly stem, triangle eyes, a triangle nose, and a wide zigzag grin. She wears a simple sleeveless dress with a ruffled scalloped hem and a small rounded collar. Behind her, large swirled wings stretch out on both sides with several loops and long pointed tips. The wide open spaces on the dress and wings are easy to fill in, so younger kids can manage them with chunky crayons. For a fun idea, color the pumpkin in classic orange and then pick a soft, shimmery palette for the wings, using a different shade in each swirl to show off the layered shapes. It also works well for a fall classroom craft table or a Halloween party.
