This little ambulance faces you head-on, with big round eyes, raised eyebrows and a wide open smile under a striped grille. A small medical cross sits above the grille, and the dome-shaped siren on the roof has short lines around it to show it's flashing. Other details include a large windshield with shiny reflection streaks, two side mirrors, small square headlights, a front bumper and two chunky tires with tread lines. The background is blank, so the vehicle gets all the attention. Big shapes and bold outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids using chunky crayons. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big windshield in sky blue, leaving two thin white diagonal shine streaks.
- 2Color the side mirrors, the siren dome, the red cross and the front bumper in bright red.
- 3Fill the siren base with royal blue and the top and side light bars with golden yellow.
- 4Color the grille bars light gray, then the open mouth in deep red with a rose pink tongue at the bottom.
- 5Color both eye rings in sky blue and both headlights in amber orange, keeping the eye whites white.
- 6Optional: lightly shade the wheels with charcoal gray and add a little light gray to the grille for depth.
