Smiling Leprechaun With Pipe and Foamy Mug

A cheerful leprechaun stands with one hand on his hip and a big foamy mug of drink held out in the other. He wears a rounded bowler hat, a bow tie, an open jacket with wide lapels, short pants with a ragged hem, tall socks, and buckled shoes. A long pipe sticks out from under his round nose, and his thick, fluffy beard fills the middle of the page. His pointed ear and wide eyes give him a playful look. The large shapes of the jacket, hat, and shoes are easy to fill in, while the beard and the foam on the mug invite some careful detail work. For a St. Patrick's Day activity, try coloring the outfit in different shades of green and using soft crayon strokes to make the beard look bushy. This free page also works well for talking about Irish folklore with kids.
