At the edge of a wooden dock sits a bandage-wrapped mummy with a fishing rod and reel, and a little fish is leaping out of the water on the end of his line. Water splashes around the fish, and a rubber-duck-style duckling floats close by among lily pads and flowers. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background: color the sky-free areas, river and water with sky blue, leaving the sky and the sun's outline clean; use light green for the hill and the bushes.
- 2Fill the trees, bushes and grass with leaf green, forest green and light green, adding a little grass green for variety.
- 3Color the mummy's bandages with cream, leaving the two eye whites bright white, then add wood brown to the dock posts, planks and cattails.
- 4Paint the cabin roof bright red, the bucket tomato red, the fish orange and the duck golden yellow, and keep the lily pads leaf green.
- 5Optional: Add a little extra sky blue or wood brown in shadow areas for depth, and finish with bright white highlights in the eyes.
