Romero Britto style Fruit Friends with Zigzags
Coloring guide
Four happy fruits are squeezed together on this page. There's a pear with a leaf and curly stem on the left, a big round apple with a leaf in the middle, a banana curving up on the right, and three little cherries at the bottom. Each one has big sparkly eyes and a wide smile. Bands of zigzag lines and rows of circles decorate their bodies, so the whole thing looks playful and patterned, just right for the Romero Britto style. Shapes are large and outlines bold, so preschoolers and early elementary kids can manage it. Give every zigzag band its own bright contrasting color, such as turquoise on a red apple, and fill the circles with rainbow polka dots. No sign-up is needed to print it at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big red apple body and the bright green pear, leaving the small white eye highlights and the background white.
- 2Color the banana in yellow and add the banana's stripes in blue, green, and purple, each stripe alternating with a zigzag edge.
- 3Fill the apple's zigzag bands with yellow and red, then color the wide blue band at the bottom of the apple.
- 4Add the orange side stripes and light blue dots on the pear, then color the cherries in red with purple and light blue bands at their bottoms.
- 5Color the leaves in leaf green and the stems in brown, leaving the small gap between the cherry stems white.
- 6Optional: Use a black pen or marker to deepen the outlines and add the cherry stem shadow last.
