Smiling Penguin Ice Skating in Hat and Scarf
Coloring guide
A cheerful cartoon penguin glides across the ice on a pair of lace-up skates, with one foot lifted behind it and its flippers stretched out for balance. It wears a long striped stocking hat with a little pom-pom on the end and a striped scarf with fringe that trails out to the side as if the wind is catching it. The penguin has big round eyes and a wide grin. Behind it, a snowy evergreen tree stands at the left, and wavy lines show the edges of the frozen pond. The large shapes on the hat, scarf, and belly are easy for small hands to fill in. Try coloring the hat and scarf in matching stripes, then talk about warm and cool colors and why a penguin would still want winter clothes on a skating day. A free printable like this works well for a quiet winter afternoon.
