The star here is a happy rocket-shaped popsicle with a pointed tip, big sparkly eyes and an open smile. Its body is divided into bands, with a plain stripe at the top and two rows of three stars below. Melting drips run along the bottom edge, and one little drop lands beside the wooden stick. A small striped bowl of berries sits next to it, with blueberries, bumpy raspberries and a leaf poking out the back. Big, clean shapes make this a good pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids who like bold outlines. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the pointed nose tip of the rocket bright red, then fill the upper body above the first stripe with golden yellow.
- 2Color the smile mouth soft pink and leave the eyes white with their black pupils.
- 3Fill the blue star band and the bottom drip base with bright blue, then color the stars inside it golden yellow.
- 4Color the thin stripe above the pink band leaf green, and fill the pink stripe with soft pink.
- 5Color the popsicle stick light tan and the drip drop bright red.
- 6Fill the bowl with sky blue on the top band, pale blue in the middle band, and bright blue at the base, then color the berries bright red, navy blue, orchid purple, and raspberry, the leaf leaf green and the star berry golden yellow. Optional: add a slightly darker shade along the bottom edge of the bowl for depth.
