Santa Claus Gazing Upward With Rosy Cheeks and Curls

A cheerful Santa Claus head is drawn in bold black outlines, turned slightly to the side and looking off to the upper right. He has a wide open smile, rosy rounded cheeks, a big nose, and bushy eyebrows above twinkling eyes. His mustache curls up at the ends, and a full wavy beard spreads out below with lots of little swirls and wisps. A long floppy hat with a solid black body droops down the left side and ends in a fluffy pom-pom. The fur trim along the hat has curly texture too. Since the hat is already filled in black, kids can leave it as is or cover it with a deep red crayon. Try pale gray or light blue pencil in the beard to show soft shadows, and save the pink for the cheeks and nose. It is a good page for practicing small, careful strokes around all those curls.
