Santa Giving a Gentle Pat to His Reindeer

Santa Claus stands on the left with his eyes squeezed shut in a big smile, wearing a floppy hat, round glasses, a mustache, and a fluffy beard. His mittened hands are raised near the reindeer's neck as if he is giving it a gentle pat. The reindeer stands tall on slim legs facing him, with a large set of branching antlers, one big eye, a long ear, and a short upturned tail. Santa's outfit includes a wide belt with a buckle, thick cuffs on his sleeves, and tall boots, so there are plenty of shapes to fill in. Try coloring the antlers in two shades of brown, then talk about how real reindeer grow antlers. The large open areas on the coat and the reindeer's body also work well for crayons or markers, and the page is free to print for a classroom or a quiet afternoon at home.
