Baby Sea Turtle and Striped Fish, Romero Britto Style
Coloring guide
A happy baby sea turtle glides through the water with a big open smile and sparkly round eyes, and two little striped fish swim right next to it. Its shell is made of large hexagon and triangle shapes that small hands can fill in easily, and its flippers and head are covered in spots and circles. Bubbles drift all around. At the bottom, tall wavy seaweed grows from a sandy seabed dotted with two textured starfish. Since this page is in our Romero Britto style category, it's a good excuse to fill every shell panel and fin with bold, bright patterns. Give each hexagon a different vivid color, like turquoise, orange, pink and yellow, and add contrasting stripes to the fish. Print this free page and keep a few extra copies handy. - 1Color the turtle's body and flippers with lime green, and add a few darker spots with forest green on the flippers.
- 2Fill the shell plates with chocolate brown and the shell border with orange, leaving the shell edge pale yellow where it meets the belly.
- 3Color the fish bodies orange and their fins and tails with lemon yellow, keeping the white stripes white.
- 4Paint the seaweed and the flipper spots with forest green, and color the starfish orange.
- 5Fill the bubbles with sky blue, color the turtle's mouth coral pink, and keep the eye whites white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the shell and seaweed to make them look more rounded.
