Sea Turtle Ride for a Baby Shark
Coloring guide
Resting on top of a happy sea turtle's shell, a grinning little shark gets a ride while the turtle swims along with a big open smile. The shark has a toothy grin, a rounded fin and small gill lines on its side. The turtle's shell is split into large panels that are easy to color, and its flippers are decorated with circles and dots. Three small striped fish swim close by, bubbles of different sizes drift upward, and at the bottom wavy seaweed grows next to two rocks on the sea floor. Thick outlines and big shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, while the dotted flippers give older children something to work on. Greens and browns look right on the shell, and a bright blue shark will stand out against it. This free page prints with no sign-up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big shell: color the middle of the turtle shell in forest green, leaving the pale yellow rim for the next step.
- 2Fill the turtle's head, flippers and spots with lime green, and color the shark's body and fin in ocean blue, keeping a small white shine on its snout.
- 3Color the rim and belly of the turtle shell in pale yellow for a soft, glowing edge.
- 4Add grass green to the seaweed and the bottom edges of the rocks, then fill the rocks in light gray.
- 5Use warm orange and golden yellow for the little fish, adding red orange for their stripes and tails.
- 6Optional: Add pale blue to the bubbles and a few darker touches of forest green on the shell for a bit of depth.
