A cheerful spinning top with a happy face is the star of this page, balanced on its pointed tip in the middle of a shallow round dish. The dome-shaped top has big sparkly eyes, rosy cheeks, a wide open smile, and a little flat-capped handle on top. Its wide middle band holds a row of circles and triangles to fill in, and there are striped rings and a striped cone at the bottom. Curved motion lines on both sides show how fast it's whirling, small ripples and tiny sparks appear where the tip meets the dish, and three four-pointed stars twinkle nearby. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the dish top surface with sky blue and the dish edge with grass green.
- 2Fill the top dome with golden yellow and the smile with soft pink, leaving the eye whites white.
- 3Color the knob, the cone tip and the red stripes with bright red, and the middle cone stripe with royal blue.
- 4Fill the middle band with royal blue, then add golden yellow triangles and grass green circles, and color the inner ring orange.
- 5Color the sparkles golden yellow, keeping the background white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker green along the lower edge of the dish for depth.
