A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Color the squirrel's big fluffy tail, head, body, arms and legs in burnt orange, leaving the eye whites white.
2. 2Fill the squirrel's belly and both front feet with cream.
3. 3Color the log and its cut end in medium brown and golden tan, then fill the acorns with golden tan and their caps with medium brown.
4. 4Color the tree canopy in leaf green and the lower leaves in light green, and add bright orange and golden tan to the fallen leaves on the ground.
5. 5Finish with coral pink inner ears, a dark brown nose and a warm gray tongue, keeping the tree trunk and grass white. Optional: add a few darker strokes of burnt orange on the tail for depth.
