Smiling Teen With Shaggy Hair and Crossed Arms

A cheerful young character is drawn from the chest up, looking toward the viewer with a big, friendly grin. The hair is shaggy and side-swept, with long bangs falling across the forehead and one curl sticking straight up on top. The eyes are large and round with small pupils, the nose is pointy, and two front teeth show in the smile. A hood is bunched up behind the neck, and an open jacket hangs over a plain shirt with a rounded collar. The arms are folded across the chest in a relaxed pose. The large open areas on the jacket and shirt are easy for younger kids to fill in. Try using three or four shades for the clothes, then pick a bold color for the hair. This printable page also works well as a quick lesson in drawing expressions.
