Flower Shell Turtle, Romero Britto style
Coloring guide
With a big smile and a sparkly eye, this happy little turtle strolls across the grass, and its round shell is full of patterns to color. There are flowers with round centers, two stars, circles of different sizes and a row of rectangular segments around the shell's edge. Tiny grass tufts and three more flowers dot the ground near its rounded-toe feet. Shapes are big and outlines bold, so this free printable is great for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. Green works well for the head and legs, and pink, orange and purple on the shell flowers help each pattern stand out. It's also a calm, easy activity for a classroom or a rainy afternoon at home. Kids who like Romero Britto style coloring pages usually enjoy Mandala and Kawaii too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the big shell dome and its small patches at the top with forest green, leaving the circles and flowers empty.
- 2Color the head, both legs, and the tail with lime green, keeping the strokes inside the lines.
- 3Fill the band around the bottom of the shell with chocolate brown, one segment at a time.
- 4Add golden yellow to the large circles on the shell, the top corner patches, and the centers of the flowers at the bottom.
- 5Color the flower petals with bubblegum pink and the stars with tangerine orange, and make the top flower center light gray.
- 6Optional: fill the toes with pale yellow and add a little shading to the shell for depth.
