Broomstick Ride with a Witch, Her Cape, and a Tiny Bat

A young witch with long wavy hair leans forward as she rides a broomstick through the air. She wears a pointed hat with a buckled band, a knotted neckerchief, a long skirt with a belt at the waist, and a flowing cape that streams out behind her. Her pointed boots dangle below the broom while both hands grip the handle. The bristles at the tail end are tied with a banded wrap. Up in the corner, a small round bat with pointy ears, a tiny smile, and wide spread wings flies along beside her. The large open spaces in the cape and skirt are great for blending colors. Try a deep purple hat and cape with a bright buckle, then talk with kids about which direction the wind is blowing, using the hair and cape as clues. This free printable works well for a quick Halloween activity.
