Big Six-Armed Snowflake Mandala with Wedge Sections

Big Six-Armed Snowflake Mandala with Wedge Sections coloring page

Coloring guide

A large six-armed snowflake sits in the middle of a round frame, with a set of curved rings behind its center. Each arm ends in a forked tip, and short rectangular tabs stick out between the arms. Six lines divide the circle into wedge-shaped sections like pizza slices. Inside each wedge is a smaller snowflake with the same forked arms, and a thin border ring surrounds everything. Because the design repeats in sixes, it works well for talking about symmetry. Try giving the six small snowflakes the same color scheme, then pick a different set of colors for the big center snowflake and the rings behind it. Kids can count the arms, the wedges and the little snowflakes as they go. Crayons or colored pencils both work fine on the wide spaces, and this page is free to print for a winter afternoon.
