The soccer ball fills most of this page, outlined in bold lines with the familiar pentagon and hexagon panels that kids can spot and color in easily. Three little tufts of grass sit at the bottom of the ball, and a round sun with short rays glows in the top right corner. Thick lines and roomy shapes make it a nice fit for younger children, or for a calm few minutes before or after practice. For a traditional look, color the center pentagon and a few panels around it black and leave the others white. Then give the grass a bright green and the sun a sunny yellow. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the circle of the sun with golden yellow, leaving the rays as outlines.
- 2Color the middle five-sided panel of the soccer ball with dark gray.
- 3Fill the top panel and the left and right side panels of the ball with dark gray.
- 4Color the two lower side panels at the bottom left and bottom right of the ball with dark gray.
- 5Leave the remaining hexagon panels, the top corners, the bottom edge strip, and the grass and background white. Optional: add light diagonal strokes in the dark gray areas for a sketchy texture.
