Flame-Winged Beyblade and a Baby Phoenix

A big spinning top with swirling flame-like wings around its body whirls through the sky, while a cheerful little bird with a feathered crest swoops in beside it. The bird has wide-open wings, a happy open beak, and long tail feathers with diamond-shaped patterns. Behind them, a large sun with pointed rays shines in the upper left and fluffy clouds drift across the page. Jagged snow-capped mountain peaks fill the bottom edge. The top has a chunky handle, curved stripes and a diamond emblem, which makes it fun to color in sections. Warm oranges, reds and yellows suit the flame wings, and a bright teal or purple on the bird's tail feathers would make them stand out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky areas: color the sun in golden yellow, the clouds in pale blue, and the grassy hill at the bottom left in leaf green.
- 2Fill the spinning top's flame wings with orange and light orange, then add golden yellow to the wing tips and feathers, leaving the flame tips bright.
- 3Color the top's stripes: red bands on the upper disc and lower body, blue and golden yellow on the lower section, and mint green on the middle ring. Leave a few thin white lines between stripes for shine.
- 4Paint the baby phoenix next: sky blue on the wings and tail, golden yellow on the wing edges, light sage on the head crest, and a light orange beak. Keep the eye whites white.
- 5Finish the mountains in sky blue on the shaded sides, leaving the snowcaps white. Add a few copper brown details on the top's stem and knob last.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along one side of the spinning top and the phoenix's wing undersides to make the colors pop.
