Sand Pile Play: SpongeBob Pouring a Bucket with Patrick

Coloring guide
SpongeBob sits on the right side of the page and tips a bucket upside down, pouring wet sand into a big drippy mound. A shovel hangs from a loop of rope across his square pants, and his bare foot sticks out below the sand. Patrick lies on his back on the left with sleepy, half-closed eyes and a relaxed smile. His body looks partly buried, and a couple of his star points poke out of the pile. Small dots and drips cover the mound, so there are lots of textures to work with. Try gritty tan and yellow crayons for the sand, then add a darker brown along the drips so they look soaked with water. SpongeBob's holey sponge body and flower-patterned pants also make good practice for small, careful coloring. You can print this free page for a beach-day activity or a rainy afternoon.
