Spotted Puppy Playing With a Decorated Easter Egg

A spotted Dalmatian puppy crouches low in the grass with its front paws stretched out and its tail raised high behind it. Its head is tilted toward a big decorated egg sitting on the ground, and its mouth looks open in a playful grin. The puppy has black spots on its back, legs, ears and face, plus a collar around its neck. The egg is covered in wavy stripes, a zigzag band and a row of small oval shapes near the bottom. Bushes and a few grass tufts fill the background. Try coloring the egg in a pastel pattern with a different color for each band, then leave the puppy white with black spots so the egg stands out. It also works well for talking about patterns and spring celebrations. Print as many copies as you need for a class or a rainy afternoon at home.
