Spud the Scarecrow Leaning on Travis the Tractor

Spud the scarecrow strolls along a country road with one hand resting on the front of Travis the tractor. Spud has a round turnip-style head, a long pointy carrot nose, a big open smile, a small hat on top, and a striped scarf hanging down his front. His belt, pointy boots and kicked-back leg make him look relaxed and cheerful. Travis has a diamond-patterned grille, a round exhaust pipe, a tall bar frame on top and chunky treaded tires. Behind them are a wooden fence, rolling hills and two fluffy clouds. This printable page works well for a texture lesson: try crayons for the grassy hills, then press hard with a brown pencil to bring out the tire treads. The large open shapes are easy for younger kids to fill in.
