Stork Delivering Baby Dumbo in a Knotted Bundle
Coloring guide
A long-legged stork soars across the page with both wings raised high, carrying a bundle in its big beak. Inside the cloth sack, tied at the top with a knot and two pointed ends, rests the baby elephant Dumbo. His large ears, round cheeks, small trunk and tiny feet poking out are all easy to spot. The stork wears a little brimmed cap and a short ruffled skirt with a round button on its belly, and its skinny legs stretch out behind it with big flat feet. The wide wings and the smooth bundle give you roomy areas for crayons, while the feathers at the wing tips invite finer detail. Try soft grays and blues for the stork and a light gray for Dumbo, then pick a bright color for the sack so the delivery really stands out. It also works well for a baby shower table or a story time activity.
