Jar of Strawberry Jam With Gingham Cover
Coloring guide
A big glass jar of strawberry jam stands on a wooden table, covered with a gingham cloth tied on with a twisted string bow. On the jar is a rounded label with one large strawberry, two little flowers and a pair of leaves, and small oval dots are scattered over the glass. Two whole strawberries with leafy tops rest at the front right, and a spoon lies on the planks to the left. The checkered cover is good practice for staying inside the lines, and the berries have lots of seeds to dot with a fine-tip marker. Red and pink for the berries, soft blue for the gingham and warm brown for the table would look cozy. A free printable for kids who like a little detail and a kitchen feel. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the jar body and the lower jar in deep red, filling it in evenly.
- 2Color the gingham lid and cloth with bright red and coral red, alternating the squares so the checks stand out.
- 3Fill both strawberries with bright red, then color their leaves and caps in leaf green.
- 4Paint the table in wood brown and add a light gray shadow under the jar, leaving the jar shine and the bow loops cream white.
- 5Color the spoon in pale peach, the bow tails in warm tan with dark brown shading, and the label band and top trim in golden yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a darker shade of deep red along the edges of the jar for a little depth.
