Sven the Frozen Reindeer Tilting His Head and Grinning

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• light brown
• cream
• dark gray
• bright red
• coral pink
• brick red

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Fill the antlers, head, body, legs and ears with light brown, leaving the small gaps between the legs and the lower antler tines white.
2. 2Color the chest fur, the tail and the lower part of the face with cream, and keep the belly gap white.
3. 3Color the big nose, the hooves and the inner eye with dark gray so the face pops.
4. 4Color the harness straps and the saddle edge with bright red, and add brick red to the lower ear for a warmer tone.
5. 5Color the open mouth with coral pink and leave the eye whites and small highlights white.
6. 6Optional: Add a few darker light brown strokes along the legs and antlers for a little shading.
