A smiling teddy bear drifts up through the air, holding the strings of five big balloons in one raised paw. It has round ears, a cheerful open-mouth grin and a large oval belly patch that leaves a nice open space to color. At the bottom of the page you'll see a row of daisy-style flowers in different sizes, plus tufts of grass. A little butterfly flutters on each side, each leaving a dotted line to show its path. Bold, clean lines and big shapes make this free printable a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Honey-brown fur with a soft cream tummy looks sweet, and a rainbow of colors helps the balloons stand out against the sky. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the balloons: color the large center balloon tomato red, the right balloon violet purple, the left balloon golden yellow, the green balloon leaf green, and the small top-right balloon sky blue. Leave the thin strings and the small gaps between them white.
- 2Fill the bear's head, ears, arms and legs with caramel brown, then color the belly and muzzle peach beige. Keep the inner ears soft pink.
- 3Color the bear's nose peach beige and leave the eye whites and the little smile white, adding the dark eyes and mouth outline last.
- 4Give the left butterfly rose pink wings and the right butterfly sky blue wings, leaving the round spots on each wing white.
- 5Color the large flowers: the left one violet purple with a golden yellow center, the right one baby blue with a golden yellow center. Make the small flowers rose pink with rose pink centers, and color the grass and leaves leaf green. Leave the small white flowers and flower stems white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the bear's belly, the balloons' bottom edges and the flower petals to make the colors look more three-dimensional.
