The Cat in the Hat stands with his tall striped hat, big bow tie, whiskers and a wide open smile, balancing a whole pile of things on one raised hand. Stacked up on top are a saucer with a little teacup, a closed book with a label on the cover, a tall bottle tied with a small bow, and a fishbowl with a worried-looking fish inside. His other arm stretches out to the side and holds a closed umbrella with a curved handle pointing upward. Small motion lines near his hands show everything wobbling. The large open areas on the bow tie, hat stripes and book cover are good for bold colors. This free printable also works for a counting game: ask kids to name each object in the stack from bottom to top, then color them in that same order.
