Three little coconut-shaped warriors stand shoulder to shoulder along the top of a rocky cliff, every one with a scowling painted face and a jagged, toothy mouth. They're the Kakamora from Moana. On the left, one wears a woven helmet with a spiky crest and holds up a saw-toothed blade. The one in the middle has a bristly spiky headpiece with a fish-shaped crest and lifts a stone axe. On the right, the third wears a curved horn helmet and holds a pointed dagger, with a feathery-edged club at his side. Their furry bodies leave lots of texture to shade. Rich browns and tans fit the husks, and bright reds and yellows on the face markings will help the tiny crew pop against a gray cliff. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big shell hat on the left warrior and the outer shell edges with leaf green, leaving the rest of the page white.
- 2Color the purple body and arm of the right warrior with lavender purple, and add the purple shoulder and back areas too.
- 3Paint the center creature's face and wide mouth area with brick red, then fill its lower fur and arms with burnt orange.
- 4Use sky blue for the left warrior's lower face, hair, and foot, and color the axe blade and knife with slate gray and charcoal gray.
- 5Add ivory to the horn, spiky crest, and small claws, and golden yellow to the weapon tips and spikes. Use coral red for the face patterns and mouth bands, and keep the eye whites and highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading with a deeper shade of each color along the edges for depth.
