A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the tablecloth and table top in cream, and the cake stand base in bubblegum pink.
- 2Fill the garden bushes, hedges and leaves with leaf green, bright green and lime green, then color the tree trunks and branches in chocolate brown.
- 3Color the left boy's hat and cloak in royal blue, the middle witch's hat in deep violet with lavender purple sleeves, and the right girl's hat and dress in leaf green.
- 4Paint the faces, hands and arms with peach, then color the middle witch's hair and the lanterns in golden yellow, with the left lantern in magenta pink and the right lantern in sky blue.
- 5Add the red band on the left boy's hat and the burnt orange on the right girl's braid, leaving the feather, teacups, teapot and cake frosting white.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading to the cloak folds and dress with a slightly darker shade of the same color to make the scene feel richer.
