Three Tulips With Long Stems and Leaves

Three Tulips With Long Stems and Leaves coloring page

Coloring guide

Three tulips stand together on long, slender stems, drawn in clean black outlines with plenty of white space. The tulip at the upper left leans to one side, with a large rounded front petal and a few pointed petals behind it. Small oval dots mark the petal tips. A second tulip at the upper right is a closed bud with a wavy edge on its front petal. The third tulip hangs lower down and tilts like a bell, with more dotted petals along its bottom edge. Broad, curving leaves sweep up from the base and wrap around the stems. The large petals and leaves are easy to fill in, which suits younger kids. Try a different color for each tulip, then use two shades of green on the leaves so the overlapping parts stand out. Older kids can add shading along the petal curves. The printable page also works well for a spring lesson on the parts of a flower.
