Three Worried Oddbods Peeking Over a Railing

Three rounded cartoon creatures crowd together behind a short railing, all looking nervous. The one on the left has a ball sitting on a coiled spring on top of its head, a frowning mouth, and eyes glancing down and to the side. The middle one has two striped horns, wide round eyes, a tiny open mouth, and little scratch marks on each cheek. The one on the right has striped horns on its head, angry eyebrows, a wide mouth full of teeth, and a fist held up near its chest. Their gloved hands grip the top of the railing. The big open shapes are easy for small hands to fill in. Try giving each character its own color, then use stripes or patterns on the horns and the spring. It also works well for talking about feelings. Ask kids to point out which face looks scared, worried, or upset.
