Tom the Cat Grimacing While Jerry Looks On

Tom the cat stands bent forward on two legs beside a wooden fence rail, eyes squeezed shut and teeth clenched in a big painful grimace. Sweat drops fly off his face. One arm hangs out with a wobbly, shaky hand, and the other hand is held open near his chest with little motion lines around it. His tail curls up behind him and a short stick or board seems to be flying off to the right. Down in the grass, little Jerry the mouse stands with his hands behind his back, frowning with one sweat drop above his head. Tufts of grass dot the ground. Try soft grays or blue for Tom and warm brown for Jerry, then pick a bright green for the grass. It is also a fun page for talking about feelings and how each character looks different in the same moment.
