The lid is propped open on a wooden toy chest, and it's stuffed with playthings. A smiling teddy bear in a big bow tie sits at the back holding a spinning top. Next to him are three stacked building blocks, a little steam train with round wheels and a rubber duck. A diamond-shaped kite with bows on its tail pokes up behind. On the floor in front you'll see two more blocks, a small wheeled wagon and another spinning top tipped on its side. Riveted metal bands on the chest add a nice bit of detail. Maybe go golden brown for the bear with a bright red bow tie, and sunny yellow for the duck. It's a free printable to add to your pile. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big wooden parts: color the toy chest's front panels, side panels and inner walls in caramel brown, leaving the white background untouched.
- 2Fill the teddy bear's fur, arms and ears in honey tan, then color the muzzle and inner ears cream and leave the eye shines white.
- 3Color the chest's yellow trim, rivets, the rubber duck, the kite's right panel and the train wheels in golden yellow, and make the top-left kite panel grass green.
- 4Color the toy train's cab roof, smokestack, bow tie, the small wagon and the red block in bright red, then add the train window in sky blue.
- 5Use bright blue for the left block, the blue block on the right and the spinning top's ring, and grass green for the green blocks and the top's handle.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker brown along the chest planks and a little amber orange on the chest's front lip for extra depth.
