Tree Hung with Easter Eggs and Spring Flowers

Four decorated Easter eggs dangle from the branches of a leafy tree, each one tied up with a ribbon bow. Their patterns include polka dots, horizontal stripes, small flowers, zigzag lines and hearts. At the base of the tree is a woven basket with a braided handle holding three more patterned eggs, and two others rest in the grass on the right. Daisy-style flowers and grass tufts tuck into the corners. Kids get plenty of space from the big leaves and wide patterns, while the little dots and hearts are handy practice for steady crayon or pencil control. Pastel pink, lavender and sky blue could go on the hanging eggs, with fresh spring green on the leaves. It's a free printable PDF, good for a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the tree trunk and all its branches with chestnut brown, leaving the small knot on the trunk as a light detail.
- 2Fill the leaves with leaf green, adding a few light green touches to some leaves for variety.
- 3Color the hanging eggs: lavender purple for the polka dot egg, sky blue for the flower egg, rose pink for the heart egg, and lemon yellow and sky blue stripes for the striped eggs.
- 4Fill the basket with chestnut brown and add golden yellow weave lines, then color the eggs peeking out with sky blue, lavender purple, and rose pink.
- 5Color the grass in leaf green and the two big eggs at the bottom right with burnt orange and bright orange stripes, keeping the flower petals white.
- 6Optional: add a little shading on the trunk and the bottom eggs with a slightly darker tone of the same color for depth.
