Skateboarding Turtle With Goggles and Flowing Ribbon Tail

A cartoon turtle stands upright on a skateboard, rolling along with a calm, happy smile and eyes glancing upward. Goggles sit on top of its head, and a long twisting ribbon or headband tail flutters out behind. The turtle has a patterned shell on its back with sectioned plates, a ringed collar at its neck, a banded belly, and chunky feet planted on the board. One arm swings forward while the other bends across its body. The skateboard has four little wheels, and a curved ground line runs behind it. The big shapes are easy for small hands to color, and the shell plates are good for practicing careful, smaller sections. Try giving each shell plate a different shade of green and brown, then pick bright colors for the ribbon and skateboard. This free printable also works well for a quick talk about safety gear and how goggles protect eyes.
