One-on-One Basketball: Dribbler Against Defender

One boy dribbles a basketball with his back to us while another boy faces him and tries to defend. The dribbler wears a sleeveless jersey and loose shorts, with his hand pressed on top of the ball and his knees bent. The defender wears a short-sleeved T-shirt and shorts. He has tousled hair and a surprised look, with his arms held out to the sides and his feet planted wide apart. Both boys wear socks and sneakers, and the ball has the classic curved seam lines. There is no background, so the figures are easy to color in. This free printable works well for a sports unit or a quiet afternoon. Try giving the boys different team colors, such as a bright jersey for the dribbler and a plain tee for the defender, then talk about how offense and defense work in basketball.
