Two Thanksgiving Turkeys with a Pumpkin by the Wooden Fence

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• pumpkin orange
• chocolate brown
• wood tan
• golden yellow
• grass green
• caramel brown
• dark brown
• amber orange
• coral red
• bright orange
• deep red
• burnt orange

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the pumpkin in pumpkin orange, coloring its big rounded body and stem area, and leave the small highlight lines white if you like.
2. 2Color the grass behind the pumpkin and the small tufts on the ground in grass green.
3. 3Fill the turkeys' bodies, heads and necks in chocolate brown, and the fence boards and rails in wood tan.
4. 4Color the fan-shaped tails with golden yellow, amber orange and burnt orange, and the beaks and feet in golden yellow.
5. 5Add deep red and coral red to the fallen leaves, and caramel brown to the turkeys' wings and lower feathers.
6. 6Optional: Leave the open beak mouths and background gaps white, and add a few darker brown lines on the wings for depth.
