Two Children Sharing a Book on a Bench

A girl and a boy sit side by side on a simple wooden bench with an open book held between them. The girl has a bow in her hair, a round collared top, and flared pants, and she rests her hand on the book's cover while her eyes look down at the pages. The boy sits close behind her shoulder with a big round afro hairstyle, a ruffled neckline, and a gentle smile as he reads along. Both wear shoes, and the girl has one leg crossed over the other. The bench has chunky cut-out legs, which are fun to shade in wood tones. Since this page is filed under Valentine's Day, it works well for a card about sharing something you love. Try coloring the book cover in red or pink, then ask your child what story the two friends might be reading together. This printable page is good for quiet reading time at home or in the classroom.
