Two Layer Birthday Cake With Five Candles

A two-layer cake sits on a plate with five tall, thin candles standing in a row on top, each topped with a small flame. The top layer has a wavy band of frosting draped over its edge, and the bottom layer has the same kind of frosting, with a plain sponge section showing under each one. The plate is drawn as a wide oval under the cake. The lines are thick and slightly wobbly, which makes the shapes easy for small hands to color inside. Kids could color each candle a different shade and then count them out loud, or pick one color for the frosting and another for the cake so the layers stand out. The big open spaces are good for crayons or markers. It would suit a birthday party activity table or a quiet afternoon at home, and you can print as many copies as you need for a group.
