Two Little Goats Playing by Mushrooms and Daisies

Two baby goats are right in the middle of a game. One leaps through the air with its front hooves tucked up and a big open-mouthed smile. The other crouches low in a playful bow with its front legs stretched out, tail up, eyes on its jumping friend. Both have small curved horns, floppy ears, fluffy tufts on their heads and round, bright eyes. On the ground below are grass tufts, three daisy-style flowers and two spotted mushrooms, a large one on the left and a small one on the right. Bold outlines and open spaces work for younger kids, while the fur tufts and spots give older ones more to do. Soft cream and light brown suit the goats, red caps with white dots suit the mushrooms, and yellow and pink go well on the petals. Download it as a free PDF for a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the brown goat's body, front legs, beard and muzzle with caramel brown, leaving the eye shine white.
- 2Fill the white goat's body, head, legs, chin and the tail of the brown goat with cream white, and color both mushroom stems cream white too.
- 3Color the goat horns with sand beige, the inner part of the brown goat's ear with blush pink, and all the hooves with dark brown.
- 4Color both mushroom caps with cherry red and leave the white spots blank; make the right mushroom cap light coral at the bottom.
- 5Fill the flower petals: rose pink for the pink flowers, sky blue for the blue flowers and lavender purple for the purple flowers, then add golden yellow centers to each flower.
- 6Optional: Add a little light shading with a slightly darker tone of each color on the goats' bellies and mushroom caps to make them look rounder.
