On the sandy seabed, a smiling spotted shark taps a drum with two sticks while three friends play along. A seahorse with a curly tail blows a small flute, a happy crab lifts a tambourine in one claw, and a round spiky pufferfish shakes a maraca in each fin. Tall wavy seaweed stands behind them, and the sand has pebbles, a starfish and a scallop shell scattered over it. The drum has a zigzag pattern with little round studs, so red and blue stripes would look great there. Small hands will have an easy time with the big shark body and the spots on its back, and older kids can tackle the pufferfish spines and the crab's legs. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the shark's body, fin and tail in sky blue, leaving the eye whites and the small paw highlight white.
- 2Fill the seaweed with leaf green, then color the seahorse in golden yellow with lemon yellow on its snout and tangerine orange on its crown and fins.
- 3Paint the pufferfish in light purple with a lavender purple fin, and color the maracas in orange, lemon yellow and lavender purple.
- 4Color the crab in tomato red with coral orange on its right claw, leave its eye whites white and add rose pink to its mouth.
- 5Fill the drum with bright red stripes and golden yellow rims, the tambourine in cream, and the sand in pale yellow with gray pebbles and a tangerine orange starfish.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of sky blue on the shark's belly and light blue on its cheek for a little depth.
