Velma Running Scared With Hands Out Front

Velma from Scooby-Doo is caught mid-run in this black-and-white drawing, leaning forward with both arms stretched out and her fingers spread wide. Her mouth hangs open in a shocked, frightened expression behind her big round glasses. She has a short bobbed haircut and wears a turtleneck under a loose short-sleeved sweater, a pleated skirt, knee socks, and flat Mary Jane style shoes. Her back leg kicks up behind her, and curved motion lines near both feet make the dash feel quick. The lines are thick and clean, so the page works well for kids who like bold outlines. Try orange for the sweater, red for the skirt, and a bright pair of socks. Then ask your child to guess what Velma is running from and draw it in the empty space around her.
