A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Fill the background and swirly sky shapes with sky blue, adding ocean blue and lemon yellow patches around the edges.
2. 2Color Fishlegs' big furry belly, fur arm, and fur vest-style shoulders with chocolate brown, and use caramel brown for his boots.
3. 3Paint the faces and bare skin of Snotlout, Fishlegs, Astrid and Tuffnut with peach, leaving the eyes and teeth white.
4. 4Use olive green for Snotlout's shirt, sleeves and pants, and slate blue for Ruffnut's jacket with steel gray on her arm.
5. 5Add tan cuffs and fur trim on the boots, light stone on the helmets, and cream yellow on Astrid's hair.
6. 6Optional: add a little darker brown shading under the fur on Fishlegs and the boots for extra depth.
