Big Waving Flag on a Pole, 4th of July Coloring Page

Coloring guide
This page is mostly one big American flag rippling in the breeze. It hangs from a tall pole with a round ball on top. The blue corner holds outlined stars, and wavy stripes run across the rest, so little hands get lots of room to color. Three puffy clouds drift nearby, two up top and one at the bottom right. Bold lines and simple shapes work for younger kids, and older ones can add shading if they like. Red and blue suit the flag well, with the stars left white or colored yellow. A light blue sky behind it all finishes things off. Print it free for 4th of July fun at home or in class. Fans of 4th of July coloring pages often like Happy Birthday and Spring as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the flag pole and its collar ring with golden yellow, and color the round ball on top with lemon yellow.
- 2Color every red stripe of the flag with bright red, and leave the white stripes untouched so they stay bright.
- 3Fill the star field in the top left corner with royal blue, and leave the small stars white so they pop out.
- 4Color the two clouds, the one at the top left and the one at the bottom right, with sky blue, and leave the top right cloud white.
- 5Optional: add light diagonal strokes in blue and red to give the flag a soft pencil-crayon look.
