The American flag on this page ripples from a tall pole with a round ball on top, and all those curves make it fun to color. Outlined stars fill the blue corner, and the stripes bend and fold like a breeze is passing through. Three puffy clouds float nearby, one at the top right and two low beside the pole. Red and blue crayons suit the stripes and star field, and the clouds can be light blue or left white so the flag stands out. The stars are small, so a sharp pencil or fine marker helps. Good for Independence Day crafts, school activities, or a calm afternoon at the table. The PDF is free to print. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color all the clouds sky blue, including the big one at the top right, the one at the bottom right, and the two on the left side.
- 2Fill the square of stars in the top left corner with navy blue, and leave the stars white.
- 3Color every red stripe red, leaving the stripes in between white.
- 4Color the flagpole, its round top ball, and the collar just below the ball golden yellow.
- 5Optional: add light back-and-forth strokes in each color so the paper texture shows a little, for a sketchy look.
