Waving American Flag With Dove and Stars

A wavy flag on a slanted pole takes up most of this page, with a round ball on top of the pole. The upper corner holds eight stars in two rows of four, and the rest of the flag is made of wide stripes that ripple along with the fabric. A dove with spread wings and a short beak perches on the top edge of the flag, looking off to the right. Around the bird and flag, about a dozen stars of different sizes float in the open space. The thick outlines are easy for small hands to color inside. For Presidents' Day, try red and blue for the stripes and the star corner, then count the stars in the flag together and talk about what the flag stands for.
